One of those days...

Yesterday was one of "those" days.  You know the ones, right?  The one where:

-the car was in the shop.
-we ran out of milk (and no car to get to the store).
-Baby has decided that he doesn't want to nap anymore.
-it was freezing outside, which meant that we were stuck inside.
-Baby pooped in the bath.
-house is a mess.
-etsy orders piled up.  One complicated custom order put me behind.
-It's almost midnight and Bridger is begging for Jello.
-Baby is sitting on my lap pounding the keyboard and managed to erase this post once already.
-husband is grouchy (long day for him too).
-we never did do Saxon's homework.
-Baby poured a bottle of Blue Bug Juice on the carpet.
-Someone peed all over my toilet seat and I didn't notice in time.
-Just noticed play-dough in the carpet.
-Baby is happily ripping up my newest Us Weekly and I'm letting him for the sake of getting this post up.
-the snow is several inches deep on the road already and still coming down...I wouldn't care except that driving in the snow terrifies me and I have to take Saxon to school in the morning.
-Baby is now pulling out the DVD's...and it's almost midnight...
Wow...lots about Baby...looks like he's been the culprit behind a lot of the trouble today.

Giveaway - My Memories Digital Scrapbook program

A few weeks ago, I was contacted by My Memories (Digital Scrapbooking Software) about doing a review and a giveaway.  I don't do a lot of digital scrapbooking so I wasn't sure what to expect.
I do make Blurb books from my blog at the end of every year, but that's it.
Sometimes I wish I could do digital scrapbooking because I'm always a little jealous of the people that can create their own Christmas cards, or design their own blogs.


Since they were offering to let me try it for free, I thought I would give it a shot.
 My Memories is digital scrapbooking software for creating and sharing (or printing) your own designs. 
It was actually really easy to use.  I was afraid that I was going to have to spend all night watching instructional videos because I could create something.  I just played around a little bit and everything seemed really self-explanatory.


First there are some pre-made and coordinating pages.
Here's one that I made using the pre-made desings:

Not everything fit my style though, so I decided to branch out and try the blank template.

Like I said, everything was really easy to use and after a little playing around, I made this:

They have a ton of fun papers, fonts, colors and embellishments.  You can add buttons, brads, shadows, frames, stitching, etc. to your page.  It can be as simple or complicated as you want it to be.

I tried out the black and white checkers first.

This is how they work:
1. Manicure your nails by trimming and pushing back the cuticle. Buff nails to remove oil or dust.
2. Select nail sticker that closest fits your nail and trim as needed.
3. Peel nail sticker from backing and lay on nail. Rounded edge against the cuticle.
4. Once sticker is in place, rub all areas to smooth sticker to nail. Use cuticle pusher to press sticker firmly to nail.
5. Trim excess sticker from your nail and/or use nail file to file excess sticker from your nail.
To Remove:
Simply peel off and wash with warm, soapy water.

I've used nail shields before, and each brand are a little different.

These ones are really nice because you don't have to heat them up first, and they are really thin, so I don't feel them on my nail.  And the best part...they don't chip.  I don't ever paint my fingernails (unless it's a special occasion) because they chip so badly after a day or so.  Between dishes, and baths and cleaning, nail polish doesn't stand a chance.  With these, you just wear them until you are done and then peel them off.  Jacilynn plays volleyball a lot and said that they stand up well against sports too.

 Hi I'm Kristen. I am the creative mind over at My Junk Drawer. My blogging station is here in sunny Southern California where at my young age of 27 I am married and have three cuties ages 8, 3, & 1 1/2.

I started my blog as a way to sort of "bookmark" all of my favorite craft ideas but it soon turned into something that I love to do. I have been creating things all of my life. I was sewing clothes in high school and creating bags and purses to fit my own style.
